Our Work

Exhilent was started at the beginning of 2013, but in that time we've been able to deliver several dozen apps and projects for our customers. Everything from native or hybrid iOS and Android apps, to the web services and data architecture to support these apps, to full e-commerce systems, we are proud of what we've built.

We are a full development agency that can take your idea to reality or get your reality to the next level.

In a collaboration with Akron General, a Cleveland Clinic affiliate, we designed and developed a complete HIPPA compliant wellness platform and associated mobile applications. Combining Fitbit, MapMyFitness and Life Fitness activity data with traditional health screening information (weight, cholesterol, bp, glucose), we were able to deliver a complete view of a member’s health.

The five time and current NBA champion, San Antonio Spurs, use our ScreenDUET second screen platform to accompany their live TV broadcasts. Using features like our global and Facebook friends scoreboard, the Spurs ask viewers basketball trivia questions and viewers compete for superfan props. Twitter posts, videos, and synced ads are also heavily featured. During the game, one of their broadcasters, would maintain a presence in the chat room to mix it up with other fans playing the game.

Quotobbles is a children’s ABC book that mixes the actual quotes of some of history’s greatest minds with amazing art and educational interactions. Children will be able to learn and trace the letters of the alphabet with their own finger and be rewarded with a bobblehead animation or the figure reciting their most famous quote. The book will contain empowering quotes that help fortify a child’s self esteem and allow further discussion about the characters in the book. This project is built for the iPad using the latest HTML5 and PhoneGap technologies and will have an Android tablet version available soon after.

ESPN InPlay is a second screen experience that we designed and built. It uses nodejs to connect and sync millions of users with the same content, and it’s all done without the need for an app download. ESPN InPlay gives advertisers the ability to fully engage with viewers and to sync ads with the television. Using the metaphor of a game show, ESPN InPlay pushes game relevant content to viewers. Live scoring allows them to play against the entire audience or just their Facebook friends. This platform also includes live Twitter integration and filtering.

We’ve worked with ESPN closely during the tennis U.S. Open, Wimbledon, NFL Draft, Home Run Derby and the ESPYs. Keep on the lookout for other future events using this technology.

The PGA Tour was looking for an easier way to enable viewers to vote for their “Player of the Month” campaign. We realized their goals by creating a rich media application to allow immediate online voting. We added an inline video player so voters could research their candidates before voting. Since this campaign only runs a few days each month we installed a countdown clock so viewers knew how much time they had left.

Mightie Football is an iPad application that allows flag football coaches the ability to show their players the routes to run. Most apps in this space are too complicated, visually unappealing and don’t properly address the audience of youth flag football players and their attention spans. Mightie Football remedies that problem in a visual language of video games that kids are familiar with already.

How I lost 25lbs in fitness challenges with helfy

I’m fat. I haven’t always been fat, but a combination of aging, having a career where I type for a living, and my love of chocolate and wine has found me in the same boat as 70% of Americans. I’ve purchased Fitbits and Jawbones and watch wearables in hopes that they can help motivate me. I’ve joined online fitness

SXSW Open House: Beacons, Fitness, and the Best Promo Ever

Fun with Estimote Beacons

We are big fans of Estimote and all of their beacon products.  We’ve been able to integrate their technology with ease into several projects.  They give our apps the ability find your location in the physical world and trigger events within your mobile application.  Powerful.  And we’ve only scratched the surface for how future implementations will be done.
